Eternal Rider - Larissa Ione 2.5 Stars

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse strike fear in the hearts of all, they have the ability to wipe us from the face of the earth, and they clearly signify the end.

Ione has given us a new look at what it could be like for the Four Horsemen, they have vulnerabilities and fear falling to the dark side. An interesting concept that they have a choice in how the end of the world is brought on. When thinking of what they signify choice never seemed to be in the equation.

Unfortunately the characters never seemed to develop deep enough for this wonderful story line. The pull to make you feel involved was just not strong enough or original enough. There was one saving grace, the hellhounds.

Who knows why it was the large dark beasts with poison saliva that were the most memorable characters. For something that is certainly so evil to adopt someone into the pack and care for them is moving. Just to see them in action again might be worth picking up the next book in the series.
