Blinding pain, gripping fear, confusion, and finally it fades away to nothingness. Until you come to in a puddle of your own blood and realize you just experienced what it feels like to be murdered.
Samantha is a rare psychic that can link up with victims as they are dying, a rare ability that has made her life a living hell. Living with her ability is a lonely existence so it is understandable that when she meets Brandt and he actually believes her and wants to help she is wary.
Brandt is no stranger to psychics and so is in a much more receptive mind frame when he hears about Sam. What catches him off guard is his attraction to her, instant awareness and electricity.
The pace of this book is constant and gripping, you will not want to put it down. Mayer balances the gristly terror with the growing attraction between Sam and Brandt. Every scene is well written and feels very real. Your heart will race and your mind will be going every which way looking for the killer.
Enjoy suspense thrillers with a little romance? Then you will want to pick up this book.
