The Plains, they hold beauty, fearsome animals, and a people just as beautiful and fierce as the land they roam.
Lara and Keir are separated for most of Warlord. There is a lot of political maneuverings, some subtle and some blatant. As Lara struggles to figure out the Firelanders customs she holds true to herself as a healer, helping whoever comes to her. Lara also goes through personal growth, it shows in her ability to handle the inquisition as her confidence shines through. Another realization is how much Keir means to her, and once they are reunited it is a beautiful thing. The ceremony at the end of Warlord is the perfect ending, incredibly moving.
There will never be enough books about Keri and Lara.
