Come read the softer side of Mercy. Well not entirely as Mercy still manages to get mixed up in trouble with a few old tricksters and kick some serious butt the way only she can. But you do get to see another side of Mercy and Adam as they get married and go on their honeymoon. Briggs does a wonderful job of showing you the depth of Mercy and Adam’s relationship and the love that they have for each other without being interrupted by Mercy’s friends, the pack or vampires. Of course it wouldn’t be much of a honeymoon if Mercy didn’t have some interaction with the fey and get knocked around a little. All the better for Adam to kiss her bruises and make her feel better.
Yes this is another book in a series, but Briggs takes you to a new location with some new characters and sheds light on answers about Mercy that have been hinted about in pervious books but never explained. Different than the pervious books but not disappointing in the least, it merely offers a new look at the heroin that is a credit to the series as a whole.
If you are a fan of Briggs don’t miss this book. If not, you are missing out and better start this series!
