Romancing the Countess - Ashley March Romancing the Countess is so beautifully written, it will bring you the pain of betrayal, followed by an uncertainty and questioning of self, to end up washed away with tears of acceptance and love.

March has started her new Romancing series off by setting the bar pretty high. Her writing skills pull you into Leah’s life and feelings, making them your own. For the first half of the book you will be wondering if there is a possibility to move past the hurt. To show as much strength as Leah did in the face of her husband’s infidelity is something not very many of us could accomplish with as much grace. There is no bolt of lightening to change Leah’s mind, instead it feels very real as she develops feelings as she herself changes.

Not to be overshadowed by Leah, Sebastian’s character is a truly deep character. He struggles to deal with his own emotions from his wife’s betrayal, different yet just as damaging as Leah’s emotions. March crafted her hero for this story perfectly. Damaged and angry you are unsure how he fits with Leah, it is a wonderful emotional ending that brings everything to light.

Sebastian and Leah walk a fine line between enemies or something more, it is a delightful read waiting to see what side of the line they fall on. If you love historical romance you will not want to miss this. If you feel like it has been a long time since you have read a great historical romance, pick up this book.
